Assistant Construction Superintendent

ASSISTANT CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT

FLSA Status: Exempt/Salary

Schedule: Full-time

Pay Range: $55,000 - $70,000

Our construction team is experienced in mixed-use and multi-family apartment construction, historic preservation, adaptive reuse, and commercial property development as well as market-rate and affordable properties. Our team also has experience in third-party commercial construction. We’ve won 4 Lieutenant Governor's Excellence in Affordable Housing Awards in the past 6 years and received the ABC Indiana Kentucky Excellence in Merit Construction Award in 2021 for building innovation and conquering net-zero challenges for H38 East Apartments.

We are looking for a full-time Assistant Construction Superintendent that has experience with coordinating, leading, and managing ground-up multi-family apartment home construction projects.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Training/Education/Experience:

  • College degree in construction field or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in multi-family housing construction
  • Ability to master project-specific software systems including, but not limited to: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) Outlook, ProCore, Blue Beam and/or Adobe software
  • Experience working with smartphones, iPads, and tablets
  • AutoCAD experience is a plus
  • Ability to work with numerous contractors and sub-contractors in an efficient manner
  • OSHA 10-Hour Certification
  • CPR/AED Certification

  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and other employees
  • Plan reading review
  • Team-oriented and results-driven

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein. Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by supervisory personnel.

  • Drive cost-effective project management techniques and strategies in the field
  • Plan and coordinate project start-up in conjunction with Construction Project Manager
  • Conduct weekly superintendent meeting with subcontractors/vendors and record meeting minutes/agendas in ProCore
  • Maintain a daily job site log, collect and process daily reports
  • Coordinate all construction activities and subcontractors
  • Monitor project status and maintain appropriate building and on-site control and on-site representation to ensure the project is completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with the contract and owner’s expectations
  • Monitor and direct daily job site clean-up activities to ensure a safe work environment at all times
  • Stamp, code and process delivery tickets as they are received from shipments (Coded and approved tickets shall be delivered to the Construction Project Manager via ProCore on a weekly basis)
  • Order/requisition materials, supplies, tools, and schedule equipment rentals
  • Inspect and confirm the quality, price, and correct quantities of all deliveries and their distribution on site, and sign off on packing slips

A valid driver’s license, background, DMV check, and drug screen will be required upon acceptance of an offer to the candidate.

Dress Code: Appropriate attire, including safety equipment, as designated by OSHA and the supervisor

Contacts and Liaisons: The Construction Superintendent will regularly communicate with all necessary RealAmerica Management Company employees, their supervisors, outside vendors and other individuals as deemed necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
